Ethan Snyder Self Dispensing Toothbrush

Idea Generation
A self dispensing toothbrush will allow for less waste as the perfect amount of toothpaste will be dispensed each time. Also, the toothbrush and toothpaste cartridges connect into one piece.

Concept Development and Testing
The toothpaste cartridges will snap into a toothbrush head. A button on the side will push the perfect amount of toothpaste up through the bristles from the bottom. This will be especially beneficial for children who may use too much toothpaste each time they brush. I would test this concept at either a dentist's office or by mailing a select number of the toothbrushes along with surveys for the results.

Marketing Strategy Development
Target Market- The target market will be anybody who owns a toothbrush with an emphasis on children who may use too much toothpaste when they brush.
Price- The toothbrush heads will sell for $2.99, the same for a normal toothbrush. The cartridges will come in 3 packs for $5.00.
Distribution- The toothbrushes and cartridges will be sold wherever toothbrushes are currently sold.

Business Analysis
The toothbrushes will be fairly cheap and simple to produce. The goal will be to produce a quality product at an affordable and comparable price to other toothbrushes.

Product Development
A test model will be developed and used everyday for a month to find any potential problems. This test model will be tested by children and adults to make sure it appeals to all age groups.

Test Marketing
The product will appear in stores like Walmart and Target and if successful here will spread to drugstores and grocery stores. The product will marketed as a revolutionary new toothbrush like never seen before.

Commercialization
The product will be introduced gradually and over a few months time will be released in stores across the country.
